Atlas has grown its Irish customer base to over 1000 from a base of just 6 in 2007.

Since winning a small pilot scheme for the IHBMA (Irish Hardware Building Materials Association) in mid 2007 Atlas UK opened an office in Dublin in 2008 and have since expanded its operation in Ireland dramatically with a total staff of 40 spread across Ireland and the UK. The 2007 IHBMA pilot was a huge success and now encompasses Grafton, National Hardware, Associated Hardware, Amalgamated Hardware and Glanbia. Some of the leading suppliers are Crown Paints, Ronseal, Velux. The original piloteers have embraced all levels of EDI that Atlas provide and are encouraging other suppliers to join the EDI bandwagon.

As well as being a leading player in the building trade, Atlas have also used their expertise in UK retail to become a leading player in Irish retail by providing cloud computing solutions for some of Irelands largest retailers such as Dunnes Stores, Spar and Mace. By implementing our Atlas Fusion product Atlas have saved these organisations several hundred thousand Euros in the first year by enabling their electronic trading to be 100% accurate and bringing all the non EDI suppliers onto a system that allows them to trade electronically.

The cost savings to suppliers cannot be overlooked either with automatic invoice checking against price and delivery. This100% accuracy of invoices allows for quicker payment and the cost of EDI transmissions dramatically reduces by the adoption of the Atlas BDX network.
