Steps involved in purchasing and/or registering via the GS1 Ireland website The GS1 Ireland website facilitates online applications for membership of GS1 Ireland, participation in various GS1 Ireland programmes and registration for events and training courses. To join GS1 Ireland or register for an event you will need to set up a User Profile. The level of information required will depend upon your application type. To register for an event you will be asked to provide your contact details and company billing information. You may also opt to provide information about any access or dietary requirements you may have. To apply for one of the GS1 products or services (e.g. bar codes or location codes) you will be asked to supply key contact information in addition to company billing and description information such as the industry in which you operate and the number of products you wish to bar code for example. Once you have completed your user profile you may proceed to the online ordering or event registration pages. Please select the products, services or events you would like to apply for as appropriate. At the end of the process you will be shown a summary of the products / services you have applied for together with the option of amending the information you have provided. At any time you may update your contact information by logging into your User Profile. The final online application stage is to select your preferred Payment Option. There are two options for payment available to you. You can either pay online via credit card or opt to forward a cheque by post. Please choose the Pay by Cheque option if you wish to make an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Please note: if you pay by credit card your application will be processed within 1-2 days and details of your application will be issued to you. If however, you choose to pay by cheque or EFT your application will be held until payment is received. No applications for Membership will be processed until a completed original direct debit mandate is received. You will be prompted to download the Direct Debit Mandate at the end of the online application process. All online applications are saved by our Membership Services Team. The data supplied will only be used in accordance with our Data Privacy Policy as set out in our Terms & Conditions. All applications processed by GS1 Ireland and Licences issued will be conducted through the English language.
